We are a group of faith-based communities, community service organizations, and passionate individuals who are working together to provide for the needs of Hurricane Katrina evacuees who have relocated to the San Francisco Peninsula.
We are responding to evacuees by assessing their needs and then putting them in touch with appropriate social service agencies. We also provide support to empower families to get back on their feet.
As of Sept. 30, we have furnished 85 apartments of Katrina families with the generous donations you have made. The families are very grateful for the generosity and care you have shown them.
As of Dec. 15, we have served 64 local families referred by Social Service agencies in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.
The warehouse is now closed. Thank you for all the donations that helped the families we served.
They have been very grateful.
